- USB thumb drive requirements - NTFS added
- Airplay - ON/OFF setting
- OvrC smart remote management
- HDMI Input Mode setting connected to the HDMI Input Assign menu

----------------------
- All "S" series models have a 2 year warranty if purchased new/open-box from an authorized dealer
- All "X" series models have a 3 year warranty (2 years in Canada) if purchased new/open-box from an authorized dealer

Note:
1.  Although all models feature two subwoofer pre-outs, only the X3600H features independent subwoofer volume control of each subwoofer.

Denon model web page info and Owner manual links :

- S650H - MSRP $399, 5.2 CH, 75W, HDMI In/Out (5/1) - avail April
Upgrading from the S550BT provides all HDMI inputs as 4k/HDCP 2.3 capable, and the lowest model to feature Audyssey MultEQ (6 mic positions), networking, DSD via USB/network source, speaker posts, 32 bit DAC, and an on board Denon HEOS module (allows streaming of HEOS app music services to the AVR as well as streaming PCM 2.0 source from the AVR to HEOS wireless speakers set up around the home). Firmware updates are installed via a network connection or USB.  There are no Zone 2 pre-outs. No noticeable difference in power; however, this is the lowest model with Audyssey so audio quality should be improved after running Audyssey.  PHONO input.  Dolby Vision + HLG + ALLM.

No noticeable difference in power.  DTS Virtual:X (simulates height audio when using a 5.1 configuration but Audyssey is disabled). AVScience is an authorized dealer for Denon, Marantz, and Yamaha, as well as other audio and video related brands (eg. JVC, Sony, Def Tech, Polk, Martin Logan, etc.).

I recently purchased a Denon AVR-X1600H. I'm having three issues. Does anyone have any feedback on how to address them?

1) When I enter Bluetooth Pairing Mode, my receiver won't show up on either my phone's or my laptop's bluetooth list. But I'm able to connect to WiFi and play music through Heos and AirPlay. My firmware is up to date, and I tried factory resetting the device. The issue persists.

2) On the Heos app, I can access songs when I search for them under the "Albums" category. But when I click "Artists" and select an artist and album title, it doesn't list the songs; the app displays, "No results for "."

3) My manual indicates that when the input source is set to Tuner, Heos Music, or Phono, I can enable Video Select mode and play video independent of my audio source. I'd like to do this with my turntable so that I can play YouTube videos through my Roku Streaming Stick (which is connected to one of the HDMI inputs on the receiver) when listening to records.

The issue is that since I'm using an external preamp with my turntable, I connected it to one of the separate assignable analog audio inputs on my receiver, because I was concerned that if I connected directly to the phono input, the receiver's internal preamp would conflict with my external preamp. As a result, it seems that I can't access Video Select mode when my turntable input is selected.

Is there a way around this? I don't want to stop using my external preamp. But I'm wondering if there is a way to disable the internal preamp on my receiver so that I can connect the external preamp directly to the phono input without causing any problems. Or maybe there is some other workaround I'm missing. It seems ridiculous to me that if I want to use Video Select mode, then I'm stuck using Denon's built-in preamp.

Center spread returns along with ability to use DTS Neural:X on Dolby Audio.

Next week, Nov 11th, a firmware update will be released to these 2019 networking models that will add the Dolby surround upmixer parameter "Center Spread" and also provide the capability to use DTS Neural:X on Dolby audio.

Hello AVS Science,  Not sure where to post this question, but here goes.......

I have a Denon AVR X1600H Refurbished driving a pair of Ohm Acoustics 3000 Talls in a 2.0 setup.

I also have a 5308CI and like the extra watts, but I like the more updated functions of the X1600H.

The Ohms seem to like power.  The X1600 is rated at 80W.  I would like to use the X1600's Zone 2 pre outs to connect to a 200W amplifier to drive the Ohms.

Would that work and does it make sense?

Cheers

  Go Up
