HT2.0 Renovations from JTR to Quested Altitude32 and DIY Diffusion

Well I've not even completed HT1.0 so to speak but have started selling off my JTR gear and replacing with Quested speakers.

I started a thread back on the old forum so will bring it over here and hopefully this place can become the new place to chat and learn.

I really like the AMT tweeter, so I think you will like the new speakers a lot. Looking forward to version 2 of your theater.

Hey Mike. I may have an issue with spl from two surround locations with the Questeds. The throws are approx 20' or so and have been thinking about using the 150h for two pair of DIY cabinets if they would blend well enough with all my other non horn 150s. I could easily build the four cabs that would give me 4-6db of headroom at mlp over reference if they would match.

Roger at Quested said they didn't meet his SQ needs so doesn't use the 150h but I figured they could match close enough after minidsp and Trinnov calibrations. What do you think?

If you have 20' for listening distance, I agree, I would go DIY using the 150H. Get Javs over here to give you some advice. He has a 2-way surround design using the 150H.
