Now Interstellar is the big surprise!  But will Nolan cave to Atmos?  Guess I'll have to remove the BR from my Wishlist -- definitely will get the UHD.

I expected (with nothing more than common sense) that two of the biggest Disney movies would get UHD -- The Guardians 2 and Pirates: Dead Men.  Now will they double down and do it with Dolby Vision?

I agree-- lots to like in that list of probable UHD releases.

Not sure about Dolby Vision, but with a projector, it doesn't matter to me. It will be an interesting year !

I'm up to 83 movies on 4K Blu-ray, with the addition of " It " ! Looks like quite a pause until any new 4K movies come out I'm interested in. At least a couple of months. Got plenty to watch in the mean time.

I've had Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle UHD on pre-order with Amazon since early Jan.  Since then, they say not available, unknown when.  Same over on Best Buy, but they now say the UHD will be released on 3/20.  The UHD Jumanji is spectacular and I've heard so much about the new movie, I'll just hang on.  Besides, was paid for by an Amazon return.   ;D

Edit 2/10/2018:  Well, ask and ye...  This morning I got an update from Amazon -- Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle to be delivered 3/20.  Should have posted that weeks ago...

I now have 87 UHD Blu Ray disc titles; 86 movies and 1 TV season.

My collection:

I admit to owning a few I wish I didn't.  Those sales sometimes are hard to resist.

Have you had time to compare with the regular Blu-ray?

Most (not all) reviews have said that the 4k version offers fairly minimal improvement on both video and audio fronts, so I've been thinking of skipping the 4k and going for the regular blu-ray on this one.

no i wasnt able to take screenshots either....I was watching with my son. i havent read that at all btw from any reputable source (bluray.com is the only one to the contrary...but i dont consider them credible).  in fact each source i have read agreed its the new standard for animation for 4k UHD.

I've definitely seen mixed opinions on that.  Some interesting discussion on the 'other' forum, where Ralph Potts and Dave Vaughan, both of whom I respect, both report that the UHD version didn't offer that much above the regular bluray.

For example, see this post, which references one of the reviews claiming it to be reference UHD material, and the ones before and after:

Coco UHD Post

I don't have either, so have no opinion.  Just curious to see if you had any comparison observations.
