Game Room / Home Theater
« on: March 27, 2019, 11:09:42 AM »
I don't have a dedicated theater but I do have a big rectangular game room which we use for watching movies/TV/gaming, etc.

Attached are some pictures for your enjoyment.

Since we don't have much floor space, I can't use floor standing speakers so all of my speakers are in the ceiling.

The first picture attached is my AV rack. Top Row has remotes, 3d glasses, etc. Next row has Playstation 4. Next row has Oppo Blu Ray Player. Next row has NAD T-777 (7.2 receiver). Next row has Panamax Home Theater Surge Suppression. On the Floor is one Paradigm SE Sub. The other Paradigm SE sub is on the other side in the game room.

Yes, I have a signed basketball from Hakeem Olajuwon. Smile title=Smile He signed it after the Rockets won their first NBA championship in 1994.

Nice multipurpose room. I'll put some pictures up of my space over the next couple of days.

Thanks David.

Either we use it to play pool (billiards) or to watch movies/tv or play PS4 games. Also, if needed, play some card games or chess. :)

Yes, nice room Jojoe. The days of the dedicated home theater are numbered unless you have a lot of spare square footage.

Even my room houses what's left of my pinball collection, my large format printer (leftover from work), and two-channel rig.

Thanks for the compliment. Yeah, that is true.

Also, there is the WAF (wife acceptance factor).

They (wife or significant other) never like a darkened walled off room for some reason as a dedicated home theater!
Will just say, it's a big dark closet. lol.

Multipurpose room is the way to go or at least get the wife's approval. :)
