I'm thinking about adding a 2nd pair of these up front !
The SB-3000's are the best boom for the buck on the market IMO.
Keep going and that is how you end up with seven 18's in your room. Then you start thinking about 21's.
Awesome upgrade. I have SVS SB-3000 and I just love it. The SB-3000 combines innovations from the flagship 16-Ultra range with a new 13 inch high-excursion driver. SVS is clearly pleased with the latest addition to its lineup, promising a performance akin to 'an iron fist in a velvet glove': a bold if slightly uncomfortable sounding claim.
Things are shaping up nicely on the bass front ! A pair of SB2000's on either side of the screen in front, and a pair of new SB4000's on either side in back. So far, using the Mini DSP HD - WOW ! Awesome bass for sure.
I knew you'd love what the Mini DSP HD could do for the bass in your room. I have six subwoofers right now:SVS PC-Ultra Cylinder Subwoofer HSU VTF-15H MK2 Subwoofer JL Audio Fathom F110 Subwoofers x 2 (stacked)JL Audio Dominion D110 Subwoofer x 2 (stacked)Without the Mini-DSP, the bass would be a muddy mess with the subs fighting each other at different frequencies. Now they all play as "one" and it's amazing how great they sound.
Level matching all of those subs must be difficult. I found level matching cylinders with the front firing SB2000's to be tough. Also, with the PC12 Plus subs plugged to get them to play better with the SB2000's the SB2000's seemed to put out more bass. I just sold the cylinders today. The SB4000's are a better match. So far, bass is tight. A test with Baby Driver sounded crazy good. Plus, the SB4000's fire at the back of the sectional - no need for butt kickers !I can see playing with the MiniDSP HD over and over to try and get better results. It's a time eating rabbit hole for sure !
