Cinemeccanica Laser Lux

Cinemeccanica laser lux will soon offer Spectral 3D. It will be offered as an upgrade for those who already own the Laser Lux. The Laser Lux is the only laser 6p that comes as a retro that can be installed in any series 2 D cinema B or C class projector.

That looks cool, but I'll guess it's expensive.

Depends on your definition of expensive. Its more then the JVC's but cheaper then a Lear Jet:)

This projector is built for a completely different purpose compared to the RS600. The 6P laser source can reproduce a color gamut and saturation that the RS600 can only dream of. Not to mention it's going to be tremendously brighter with the capability to drive massive screens. Only a wealthy enthusiast with the right screen and theater would consider this.

Dylan is correct the typical cinema projector is not for everyone but for those with the budget and space they offer benefits beyond home theater projectors. Here is a picture of one used in a home environment.

That might just fit in my projector closet ! Sneaking it in without my wife noticing would be tough though !  ;)
