Screen Acoustics Masking system

We have been selling Screen Acoustics V6 AT screen fabric for a while now. We also started selling their frames, so that you do not have to go DIY with this product. Well Screen Acoustics is bringing a new product to market. It is a masking system called MOTOMASK. A prototype of this product was being shown at CEDIA. As usual the V6 fabric in this demo looked great. The image was nice and sharp, good contrast and zero shimmer or sparkle.

The nice thing about this masking system is the ability to purchase at a later date. So you can purchase the screen and later add the masking system. That way you are able to spread out the cost, rather than one large lump sum. This masking system is currently expected to be available first quarter of 2018. Will have 16:9 that masks down to 2.40 and 2.40 that masks to 16:9. The 16:9 is 1-way masking and the 2.40 is 2-way masking. Both from top down. When more details (sizes) become available, I will update this thread.

Frame width and depth is 20cm x 13cm, which is about 7-7/8" x 5-1/8".

Do not have this info yet. The masking frame shown at CEDIA was a steel prototype. Weighed a ton, compared to what the final product will be. Once we have more info, we will post.

Have pricing on the frame without masking components and fabric. The frame is made so that the powered masking components can be added later. Have tentative pricing on the masking components. To give you an idea, MSRP on a 122" diagonal 2.40 masking screen would be $4,723. Note this is a masking screen, not a masking system that is fit over an existing frame, like Carada used to make. Since masking can be added later, you can buy the frame and the fabric first, MSRP of $2,724 and then later purchase the masking components MSRP $1,999. A 129" diagonal 16:9 has the same MSRP pricing.

MSRP for 120" diagonal 16:9 is $4,323, but you could just buy the frame and fabric to start with and the initial outlay would be $2,624 MSRP. Then add the masking components later at $1,699 MSRP.
