What are you planning on using? We use Insteon for all of our lighting and outlets, and have a scene switch when we walk in the HT, and I control everything via apps on my tablet. One of these days I will get CQC up and running again to control it all. I know one of the easiest ways to do voice control is Alexa...all you need is lighting that can be controlled via a hub that is compatible with Alexa (Insteon is one).
Considering Amazon Echo (Alexa), but may wait to see what Google Home brings to the table. Amazon Echo will work with Harmony and I think the insteon switches and dimmers will work with Harmony's Home Hub Extender. I can control my Z-wave lighting that way right now, using iPhone or a tablet.
The Amazon Echo seems to do pretty good on voice control...apparently they have come a long ways in accuracy.
just ordered one for the inlaws for xmas...they will be my guinea pigs haha...even though its me who will have to set it up

... I almost bought one, but I saw that it only works via your speakers or AVR.
