Roaring Fire Makes Its North American Debut on 9/8/2026

From the Toy Robot Video press release:

On September 8, the wild Japanese stunt comedy Roaring Fire makes its North American Blu-ray debut. The film stars Hiroyuki Sanada, Emmy® winner for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for FX’s Shōgun. The release features a High Definition (1080p) Blu-ray presentation, hours of special features, and newly commissioned extras.

Texas cowboy Joji Hibiki (Hiroyuki Sanada, Ring) learns that the dying man he thought was his father is actually his kidnapper—and that his real family is wealthy and lives in Japan. Joji packs up his monkey and flies to his ancestral home, only to discover that his parents and twin brother are dead. His blind sister (Etsuko Shihomi, Sister Street Fighter) has allowed Uncle Ikeda (Mikio Narita, Battles Without Honor and Humanity) to take over the family business, but Joji doesn’t trust his newfound relative. The madcap tale gets even wilder when Sonny Chiba (The Street Fighter) appears as a nightclub magician with serious tricks, and infamous professional wrestler Abdullah the Butcher rises from a swimming pool to battle Joji.

Special features include DTS-HD MA 2.0 mono audio in Japanese; optional English subtitles; a new audio commentary with film historian Brian Bankston; Japanese film critic Akihiko Ito on Sonny Chiba; critic James Mudge (easternKicks.com), offering a retrospective on Roaring Fire; pro-wrestling critic and film writer Chris Lines on the life and times of Abdullah the Butcher; critic Clément Rauger discussing the secrets of Roaring Fire; the theatrical trailer; and a TV spot.

That's some interesting casting!  Looks like they nailed the comedy/action aspect of the movie.
