From the Arrow Video press release:
On
January 13, the supernatural horror Evil Dead Rise is unleashed on 4K UHD. Director
Lee Cronin was handpicked by
Sam Raimi to continue the
Evil Dead franchise with the same blend of horror and humor fans enjoy. The Limited Edition release features hours of special features and newly commissioned extras.
After discovering she’s pregnant, Beth (
Lily Sullivan,
Forgive Us All) visits her estranged sister Ellie (
Alyssa Sutherland,
Vikings) for support. Ellie is already struggling, as her husband recently walked out, leaving her to raise their three kids on her own. Things get even more chaotic when a massive earthquake rocks the apartment building. In the aftermath, Ellie’s son Danny (
Morgan Davies,
One Piece) finds a hole in the underground parking garage that leads to an abandoned bank vault. Inside, he discovers religious relics, vinyl records, and a strange book he hopes might be worth something. Instead of being a valuable relic, the book turns out to be the cursed and infamous Necronomicon. As the building’s residents become possessed, the family must find a way to survive.
Special features include a 4K (2160p) UHD Blu-ray presentation in Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible); the original DTS-HD MA 5.1 and Dolby Atmos audio options; an English audio descriptive track; optional English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing; an audio commentary with director
