I had the Amazon listing saved to my Wishlist but it's not available now. However, it was the steelbook version and that's the only one I find on Amazon. I don't care to pay the extra for that, so wouldn't be buying that anyway.

With the unfortunate passing of Kilmer I'm sure that's spiked orders. Is there a "regular" UHD version of this? Where are folks ordering it? With Best Buy & Target out, I think I see Zavvi showing it and that's it?

Hmm, for some reason the impression I had about the movie when it was released that it leaned toward the corny/campy/unserious side.  Sounds like that interpretation was completely off base.
BTW Scott, if you haven't seen it already, you really should read Bill Hunt's writeup. I didn't know any of the back story on the film and ... it's not a very good one.

No, it's a GREAT one. (To steal from Simon Cowell. :P)

I had read somebody else mention that the DVD version is longer.  Now I'm intrigued by the idea of a director's cut on 4K.  Maybe the apparent brisk sales of this disc will make that a reality?

That was absolutely my first question after reading that! Is an extended version even feasible? I have no idea what the extra footage is like, nor the condition and what would be needed to create one but it's been done plenty of times so I'd think it could be.

There was, at Amazon UK. Much cheaper. Sold out though.
