We just received our review unit. It is an NZ900, rather than an RS4200. First thing I noticed is JVC has changed how they package the projectors. Nice design change here. While the internal packaging foam protection is smaller volume, the corners are better protected, compared to the packaging in the RS4200/NZ9 box. Small change, but nice engineering change to save some material, while improving protection.JVC RS3200 and RS4200 Projectors
Mike,I'm not sure I believe you, so can you forward me the projector and packaging so I can inspect it first hand? I'll pay for the shipping costs both ways, but I foresee an issue already shipping it back and it may be delayed by a few years. Pay no attention to the number of hours on the laser when you do finally get it back In all seriousness though--the packaging does look good.
I found it interesting that the price has stayed the same over 3 years until I realized that the dollar has appreciated about 42% against the yen. That means using the yen as the currency standard that the new projectors have had a 42% price increase . I love it when they use the line "the price hasn't gone up in 3 years!!".
A few RS4200's and RS3200's are shipping from JVC in CA today. We should receive them next week.
Any idea if JVC will expand the line to include an RS2200 or RS1200?
