I'm now a new owner of a JVC RS-3100. I won't get it installed until tomorrow night, but I took delivery of it today. Can't wait to see it in action!

Congrats David! You'll have fun geeking out with the new laser engine and features it brings. It's not nearly as big a jump for you going from a 2000 as my 2100 was from a 500 but hopefully enough that you'll enjoy rewatching some favorites.

Congratulations Dave! I had my NX7 for 3 years before moving to an NZ, so I'll be very interested to hear your impressions.

I'll report back once I get it hung. I need to wait until a friend is available because there's no way I'm mounting this sucker on my own!

I haven't decided yet. I've been watching "Strange New Worlds" on Blu-ray and the A/V quality is excellent (review forthcoming). It may be an episode of that

That's a terrific upgrade. A couple of guys in our WI/IL home theater group have them and are really happy with them. I haven't had a chance to see one of them yet, so I'm eager to read your impressions. The tone dynamic tone mapping is supposed to work wonders.
