I added some shelves to my movie storage closet. Today's tally - 233 4K Blu-rays and 486 Blu-rays ( and one DVD ).

I watched Rear Window last night.   Vertigo will be tonight.

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment (UPHE) has identified an issue with the home entertainment releases of Psycho - 60th Anniversary Edition and The Alfred Hitchcock Classics Collection, that specifically impacts copies of Psycho’s Blu-ray and 4K UHD versions made available on September 8, 2020. The initial run of the film’s Blu-ray and 4K UHD discs produced inadvertently omitted Psycho’s original 1960 mono track. UPHE’s goal is to always deliver the best possible product to its consumers. To that end, a replacement program is being established in the U.S. and Canada to ensure that those who have purchased this recent release of Psycho on Blu-ray or 4K UHD receive a corrected disc. To receive an updated Psycho disc, please visit the UPHE Support website (https://www.uphe.com/en/contact-support) or directly email USHEConsumerRelations@visionmediamgmt.com.

Things I need to improve my theater - the new Lumagen firmware coming out next week.
The new DTS audio firmware coming this fall for full 13 channels / wide speakers.

One improvement for video, one for audio.

I have a few other new things coming - but more on that later !

A few speakers upgrades. Replaced my Martin Logan Motion FX surround speakers with their EM FX2 surrounds. Because I can, and was curious the difference. They aren't rear ported like the Motion FX, which works better in at least 2 of the locations.

So what are your impressions on the difference?

I think the larger tweeters have a little more detail at times. I think they can play louder with less chance of distortion too. And over the last year, I've added both lots of room treatments and lots of power ( and way more watts subwoofer wise - 14,000 watts peak ) - so I am playing movies louder, since they sound cleaner overall.

Great work Craig, can video from a projector get any better? The colours are amazing. Great work here mate and a real credit to you.
Love holds the key

Thanks for your the kind words. I love home theater, and I think my current setup will keep me happy for years at this point. I can't wait for Covid to be over so I can have a packed house for movie nights again. Next year hopefully.

Ant Man on 4K Blu-ray has to be one of the best looking Marvel films - and super fun. I'm frequently amazed at the picture and sound quality we have these days!

I just crossed the 4 year mark using my RS4500. It arrived Feb. 2nd, 2017. I had it installed on Feb. 5th, 2017. I've had 4 years of great watching movies and shows with friends and my wife - so far !

This projector has only gotten better over those 4 years too !

Having twin SVS SB4000's two feet from the back of the sofa is providing amazing tactile bass feel ! I'm loving the move to 6 sealed subs. Great with music too !
