Yup it’s brutal. That and wiring lights  etc in the ceiling. Oof

You have a picture of what you are wanting this to look like? I would probably install blocking for the crown to bring it out flush with the wall panel. Then install the crown first. Same for the ceiling, if installing panels there. Installing crown on top of the panels would be a lot harder and more waste of material, because you would have to break the crown only where you have something solid to attach to. In other words, only at a panel edge.

Let's say the crown will stick down from the ceiling 4" and the fabric panel is 1" thick. Cut a strip of wood blocking that is 7/8" thick and fasten it to the wall so that the bottom is 3-3/4" down from the ceiling. Now when you put the panel up, no way the blocking could show and yet you have a nice solid surface to fasten the crown. Also you will be able to break the crown anywhere, rather than just where you have solid blocking in a panel. Believe me this will be faster and look much better. Solving construction build problems like this is what I did for over 25 years.  

The added benefit, if a panel gets damaged, it can easily be replaced. If crown is on top of it, it will be a nightmare to replace.

what it the best way to rip boards to a smaller size...i dont have a table saw...perhaps I should borrow one?

so major step backwards....

put up primer and then paint....when the black paint went on all the joints bubbled....and the tape even started to come down in spots!  so i had to rip down the tape...and start over in those spots....I used mesh tape and it seems t be working better....

i will sand and repaint those spots....fingers crossed...

SO FRUSTRATING....but cant be all puppy dogs and ice cream right? lol

Cheap way is to clamp a straight edge to the board you are ripping. Did your skill saw come with a rip guide or can one be added? Also can buy a clampining rip guide.

Got the platform(mini riser) for the seating framed. Just got the insulation and plywood to put on it

Do I need roofing felt??

Also got the projector box built and installed. The rs600 fits perfectly.

The two vents on the front are exhaust. The two vents at the back are intake. There is another vent on the bottom, at the front of the projector that is also an intake. As long as you have cool air available from the room the back of the projector is in, projector will be fine.

so my buddy who does carpeting for a living (family business) is coing over tonight to finish my riser...and take final measurements for the carpeting.  

We are replacing the OSB I bought for the floor with 3/4" plywood....he said no need for felt...unless we were doing 2 layers of 3/4"

Im thinking of cutting venting in the corners to act as a bass trap....

ill post pics after its completed
