Studio: Lionsgate
Release Date: November 26, 2019
Rating: R
Film: 3/5

Plot
When there is an assassination attempt on U. S. President Allan Trumbull, his trusted confidant, Secret Service Agent Mike Banning, is wrongfully accused and taken into custody. After escaping from capture, he becomes a man on the run and must evade his own agency and outsmart the FBI in order to find the real threat to the president. Desperate to uncover the truth, Banning turns to unlikely allies to help clear his name, keep his family from harm, and save the country from imminent danger.

My Thoughts
This is the third film in the “Has Fallen” franchise and while I wouldn’t call it great cinema, it has its moments and is definitely entertaining. I never caught London Has Fallen, but I didn’t feel I missed out on anything in regard to the story—these aren’t deep thinking films. Regardless, the action scenes are well shot and the A/V quality is very good.

The story is very far-fetched, especially the third act, but it doesn’t really distract from the overall entertainment of the production. The acting is competent, and I really loved the addition to Nick Nolte who provided some good drama and a lot of laughs. In fact, his scenes are the best in the entire movie.

Video 9/10

Audio 9.5/10 (Dolby Atmos)

Special Features:

  • Even Angels Fall: The Story
  • Someone to Watch Over Me: New Blood
  • Calling All Angels: Casting
  • True Faith: Authenticity
  • Fight for You: Stunts and Action
  • Earth Angel: Recreating DC
  • Angel Decalssified
  • Blu-ray + Digital Copy

Conclusion
If you liked the previous two movies, you’ll definitely enjoy this one too. Just check your brain at the door and sit back and enjoy a very good home theater experience. Oh yeah, crank up the volume too—the LFE rocks!

I didn't expect to like this, but it was enjoyable enough for what it was. Nolte's character was the highlight for me...he made me LOL.
