JVC Announces New LX-NZ3 3000 Lumen Laser Projector

This projector is really bright - even in low ( Eco ) laser. I had a lot of light on in my theater, and at absolute minimum throw, I'm getting about 47 foot lamberts.

This would be great for sports! This is my A T & T U Verse HDTV cable - most of which looks pretty good. I removed the Lumagen from the chain, which makes it look a lot better. A better cable / streaming source - especially a 4K source, would look really good on this.

Using my Sper light meter, I measured 675 lux / 2752 lumens on Normal ( high ) laser, and about 460 lux / 1875 lumens on Eco ( low ) laser. You can easily watch HDTV with the lights on even in low laser on my 122" diagonal 16:9 Cima Neve screen. Low laser gives me 47 foot lamberts at my absolutely as close as can be mounting position.

The camera doesn't show how bright the lights were in my theater - I had them way higher than I normally would even eating and watching the Winter Olympics or Tour de France. For watching the NBA playoffs and other sports, this would be ideal.

When you are seated and it's covered in wine and water glasses, you don't notice it. You look over and beyond it. Where else are we going to have bottles of wine ? In our laps ?

True, but the cup holders in my theater seats don't have an issue holding cans of seltzer or beer.

A black table cloth would solve yours and Dylan's problem! (might even stop/reduce any clinking noises!)

I don't have a problem - only Dylan does. Which is funny, since he's never been in my theater.

Exactly, I don't have an issue with your theater. I was only saying I couldn't put something so shiny in my own.

You really only see the table like that if you are standing behind the couch ( which is where the camera tripod is ) looking down at the table. If you are standing there for a 2 1/2 hour movie, you will have bigger issues.
