Tracy, You asked about the Marvel Universe. I thought I throw in the DC too! My favorite comic book movies of all time are the Richard Donner versions of Superman and Superman II, available now on Blue Ray. What makes a super-hero is, of course his powers, that makes him super. Wht makes him a hero is what is in his heart. Christopher Reeve showed this. The newly reeleased Superman II is fantastic and a big improvement over the released version which butchered the Donner edition. Wonder Woman is my next favorite, Well done and she too had the heart of a hero. Gal Gadot was beautiful and perfect, with a great story. Batman Begins, told the beginnings of the story and gave great depth to the character. Batman, in 1989, with Michael Keaton. This was a good movie for ¾ of its running time. It was fun, funny but gets really silly at the end. The Dark Knight. It is actually an illogical and silly movie but I enjoyed Heath Ledger and the Joker. It was an original take. Aquaman: Sheds itself of the DC Universe and tells an interesting original and follow up story. Shazam: A fun movie, especially for kids, that does not take itself too seriously. Just sit back and enjoy it, but don’t try to overthink it. Batman II (Michael Keaton) Over played and with a bad plot. But Danny Devito and Michelle Feiffer made it worth watching. Suicide Squad. Not a great movie but Margo Robbie was just gorgeous and playful and made it movie watchable. Green Lantern: Not the worst of the DC movies, but it is watchable. It’s not good but does not fall into the worst category which follows. Watchmen: I am not a fan of this movie, but it was done well and was visually appealing.Superman II: Theatrical release. Not a bad movie, but has none of the great stuff that Richard Donner thought out. The rest are all bad movies and I have trouble saying which ones were worse than the others. Except the Spirit was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Superman III and IV. Just bad. Batman and Robin and Batman Forever. The latter was the worst, but originally I didn’t think it could get worse than Batman and Robin. Man of Steel: He was no hero. Superman’s father tells him children should die before he reveals his secret identity. And then Clark lets his father die for no reason. Batman vs. Superman: Why did Batman want to kill Superman, he’s no murderer. Except for Wonder Woman, this movie was terrible. Catwoman: Terrible. Supergirl: Superbad. Justice League: Continues the Bad.
Barry, I thought Deadpool destroyed all evidence of The GreenLantern ever being made? You must live in an alternate universe
Sadly, Thanos restored the movie using the Infinity Stones. That movie helped him wipe out half the universe.
