Panasonic has a new high contrast LCD design

Panasonic has a new high contrast (1million:1) LCD design that allows for light modulation at the pixel level.

The new high-contrast IPS panel can make HDR-compatible displays for professional use at broadcasting stations and video production studios, and is suitable for uses including medical monitors and automotive monitors.
