Just found out, Theater Optimizer will automatically update the lamp usage hours every 100 hours. Also Theater Optimizer will account for anamorphic modes. The beta firmware does not do this but the final version will. :)

I had an RS600. IMO, the native 4K JVC's are sharper, cleaner looking, and the HDR is better.

Well ChadB got done after about 4 hours but of course kids school work came first and then my work. Unfortunately the hurricane hit the next day and we lost power for about 18 hours. Hopefully today I will be able to get up there and watch some movies I have been holding onto until after the calibration. Chad was great and very professional. I would not hesitate to have him back in my home for a update to the calibration or to do the audio.

Here are some of the high lights though:

SDR
Before Calibration: Max fL: 14.9
After Calibration: Max fL: 20.4
White Point: D65, HD BT.709

HDR
Before Calibration: Max cdm2 - 410
After Calibration: Max cdm2 - 424.2
White Point:BT.2020 HDR

B&W
Before Calibration: Max fL: 14.9
After Calibration: Max fL: 19.4
White Point: E54, Black and White

I can post the calibration sheets if any one is interested. I understand that there are a lot more metrics that go into this but I am not sure what numbers are really important.

This is for a RS2000

I had to send my RS-1000 back to JVC since it was defective. I got a refurbished unit. It fixes the two problems I had (blue/yellow bars in image occasionally; extremely long startup time and frequent blinking warning lights). But I may have found an issue with my new unit: I've noticed what seems to be a horizontal bar about mid-screen the length of the screen that appears often when a camera tilts up/down. I have not seen it during static images. I have so far only noticed it while playing one specific video game, but I've never heard of games causing this issue, so I don't know why a game (ANY game) would be the cause. I've seen this on two different consoles using two different inputs on an HDMI switch. Has anybody heard of such a thing happening with an RS-1000, or does anybody know what this sort of issue is called? Any idea of settings to change that might fix it? Thanks.
