iRule for remote control

I apparently purchased iRule in the past and have an advanced license (according to my builder page). I am lost as to how to get this up and running. Does anyone use iRule that might be able to help me?

I would like to control my Yamaha CX-A5100 preamp, Pioneer Elite BDP, Panasonic Ae8000e (I have a ITach), while using Kodi for my media, and also my ISY 994i for controlling my Insteon lighting. I would also like to control my MiniDSP DDRC-88a (I have the codes somewhere for IP control which is limited to switching my 4 settings).
I am retired and have limited income so I am trying to do this as inexpensively as possible, but I know time is money, and would be willing to pay for the help if I can afford it too.
