Love it or hate, Grease came on UHD BD this week.
Despite being a 4K scan from the original negative, they used excessive noise reduction on a number of scenes. Some scenes are fine though, but most suffer to varying degrees with noise reduction although I have seen worse titles. Color, brightness, contrast, shadows look great. HDR pretty natural although I found some of the peak brights a little hot, but it was worse on the BD. With all of that said, this is easily the best the movie has ever looked.
The audio is where it really shines. Really outstanding and they returned to the original 70mm elements dumping the terrible remix which had been used on every version of the movie since 1998 until now.
All in all, an easy recommendation if you like the movie.
