New speaker line that we have picked up. Nice product. Next Level sent me a pair of their Cinema Reference Monitors.
CI-IWHDMON:
http://www.nextlevelacoustics.com/ci-iwhdmon/ I placed these in my family room setup in place of a pair of RBH SI-760's. The 1" silk dome tweeter of the HDMON was very smooth and detailed and blended well with the two 7" cast frame woofers. When I turned up the volume, the speakers behaved well under stress. I really like the performance of these in wall speakers and would be very happy to use them in one of my systems.
The speaker feels very solid and the panels have no problem passing the knuckle test. That is because Next Level uses a proprietary damping process on their LCR's and monitors. It is a 1/4" thick butyl latex/silica material that is applied to the interior of the cabinets. This process does a very good job of damping the cabinets.
Custom sizes, custom colors and custom veneers are available upon request. Designs can be modified for on wall, book shelf or towers if needed.
For larger theaters, their Large Format Reference LCR (CI-IWHDLCR looks like a great choice. A 3-way speaker with -2db performance down to 45hz. A set of three of these up front with a pair of subs would make for a serious performing HT.
