Whats the last Bluray you watched?

I'm trying to catch my wife up on movies she's missed. Sat night it was " The Equalizer ", with Denzel Washington. Last night it was " John Wick " on 4K.

Watched " Donnie Darko " - the director's cut last night ( my wife's pick ). Never watched the director's cut before. I may like it better. Great movie, again !

Watched " Logan " last night on 4K. Wild movie - I ( and my guests ) liked it !

watched "Life" in 4k. I really really enjoyed this...

sound was another demo quality atmos track with HUGE bass and VERY active atmos

picture was stunning as well

"Oblivion" for the umpteenth time...I don't know why but I pulls me in with every viewing.

I really enjoy that movie too. Great picture and sound. You ever watch the extras ? Cool that they built a full size model of the ship !

Yeah, I felt the same way.  To me, they did a good job of setting up the individual runs of violence.  (Though my wife didn't agree -- liked the movies but thought it was non-stop violence.  I thought it was an amazing mix of violence with the right portion of "slow down, catch your breath".  PQ was great and sound absolutely awesome! 

BTW, did I mention it was violent?

Keanu Reeves spent a lot of actual range time shooting 3 gun tactical courses prior to this film - it certainly showed in the action set pieces. Amazing choreography and stunt work. Realistic firearm handling and reloading. My wife thought the first one was " just a shoot 'em up " and didn't join me watching it. She does like " Eastern Promises " and " The Equalizer ", so go figure !

Watched John Wick 2 last night. 4K video quality on this disc was really good and the sound track had great dynamics. Since I was watching this one alone, I ran it near reference level. Some of the gun shots sounded a lot like actual gunshots.

I was worried I might get a visit from the police when I watched it at 11PM.  One night I am going to walk outside my house while this disc is playing to hear what it sounds like from there.

I did that last week after watching " Mad Max : Fury Road " cranked pretty loud. We live in an area with 1/4 - 1/3 acre lots, so while I could hear it, I've never had anyone notice ( or complain ). Helps to have 2 x 6 construction throughout our house !
