Recently, in our local newspaper, Newsday, advise column, and there was a letter from a woman complaining that her boyfriend, tears up, apparently rather easily, when watching movies. She doesn’t like this, and it made me the end of their relationship.
As a child, I remember being really upset, watching Bambi and Old Yeller. As an adult, there were a few movies to bring tears to my eyes, and no girlfriend complained. And believe it or not there’s a Star Wars moment that brought tears to my eyes.
First, was the end of Field of Dreams. When Kevin Costner asked his father if he’d like to have a game of catch, I just wanted to have a game of catch with my father who I lost a long time ago. When the lights came up, all the men in the audience had tears in their eyes.
Many times at the end of Forrest Gump, not just once, It got to me.
A reoccurring event began with that sad song in Toy Story 2, When She Loved Me. This was just a cartoon yet that song gripped my heart.
When somebody loved me
Everything was beautiful
Every hour we spent together
Lives within my heart
I prepared myself for Schindler‘s List. I made it through most of the movie, but the last 10 minutes, to this day, bring tears to my eyes. When I see it now, I tear up much earlier..
So you’re wondering how Star Wars could bring tears to my eyes, but it did. At the end of the credit of Star Wars: The Last Jedi the screen read: "In Loving Memory of Our Princess, Carrie Fisher."
That got to me. What movies have gotten to you?

More movies than I can count, that's for sure. Memorable ones include Toy Story 3 when they were all headed to the incinerator. Ouch! Star Trek II when Spock sacrifices his life to save the crew. Beaches is another one that will get you. Barry mentioned Schindler's List---that one. Saving Private Ryan at the end as well. Those are just off the top of my head and there are countless other moves that I could list if I sat here and thought about it more.

I have never cried during a movie.
Although there have been instances of having a sudden onset of allergies resulting in spontaneously watering eyes.
These occurrences of allergic reactions seem to happen more often the older I get, which isn't unexpected according to medical experts. They seem to be triggered by some unusual combination of swelling music along with emotionally sympathetic scenes, but I haven't been able to pin them down exactly.
They're a real nuisance, though, and I'm almost too embarrassed to mention them here.

The worst one was Marley and me. I cried so hard like a dope. Lol no was by myself blubbering like an idiot.
I tear up very easily watching movies. Too many to count.
Field of dreams is an automatic.

Oh yeah...any movie with pets dying is tough. Another one was The Art of Racing in the Rain. Kills me every time!
