My Thoughts
The Office is a masterpiece for me and I consider it one of the greatest sitcoms ever made. Sadly, I skipped it during its run on TV and only caught up a few years ago when I bought the Blu-ray set and my wife and I watched all nine seasons over about a four month period.
That being said, these extended episodes are hit or miss. Some of the cut scenes really add to an episode’s humor or expand the plot in meaningful ways, but in other cases, they hurt the pacing and the episode seems to drag. Still, it’s the first time these scenes have been spliced into the actual episode and are offered in HD versus the SD supplements on the original Blu-ray release. This makes watching these episodes a new adventure for fans of the series who never bothered to pick up the Blu-ray set.
What makes this show one of the best is the cast, which all stared with Steve Carell’s Michael Scott. Yes, he’s the boss, but he just wants to be loved by his staff and goes out of his way—and sometimes uncomfortably so—to just be “one of them.” The slow burn romance between Jim and Pam is fund to watch and the supporting players get a bit more screen time with the added material. While the show’s final couple of seasons lost their edge, that doesn’t detract from the show’s rewatcability one bit.
The Blu-ray release is presented with strong 1080p transfers. The image is clean, colors are vibrant, and detail is sharp for a TV comedy. It looks natural and filmic without over-sharpening.
The DTS-HD MA 5.1 soundtrack is about what you’d expect from a TV comedy. Dialog is always clear and natural, which is crucial for a dialog-heavy show. The surrounds add some decent ambient effects with office noise, part sounds, and occasional music.

Conclusion
For fans of the show that want everything the show has to offer, this Blu-ray release is the definitive version to own. While I only sampled a few of the newly formatted episodes for this review, I plan on watching the show from start to finish again to see if my opinion changes about the added footage. Highly recommended.

How long did that take to review?
I didn't watch the entire season. I picked an episode from each season to watch to see how the pacing was for each. It would be impossible to watch every single episode unless I didn't have a life ;)
What was funny, is I did watch the deleted scenes from my original Blu-ray, so the "new" material wasn't new to me at all. It was just in higher resolution and within the actual episode versus watching after. Heck, just the new material alone would take over a week to watch on its own, let alone all of the episodes!

Ahh that makes sense

Guess what's getting added to my shopping list!
