On June 23, Ruby Max Entertainment proudly presents the worldwide Blu-ray/CD debut of Badland.
Reservist Jerry Rice (Jamie Draven, Billy Elliot) came home from Iraq accused of war crimes — and with no real way back into civilian life. Now he is living on the margins, working at a rural gas station, struggling to keep peace with his pregnant wife (Vinessa Shaw, Eyes Wide Shut), and losing sleep to nightmares of Fallujah.
When his boss accuses him of stealing, Jerry’s fragile grip finally breaks. In one explosive act, he destroys the life he can no longer bear, takes his young daughter Celina (Grace Caroline Currey, Shazam!), fakes their deaths, and vanishes.
On the run, Jerry and Celina settle quietly in a small town, where he finds unexpected understanding in Max (Joe Morton, Terminator 2: Judgment Day), a fellow veteran who recognizes the war still raging inside him. But the man helping Jerry heal may also be the one man who can expose him: Max is the town sheriff.
As Jerry begins to believe a new life might be possible, the past closes in. And when his name finally comes across the wire, Max will have to decide whether to protect him — or bring him in, whatever the cost.
Badland explores the long shadow of the Iraq War — a legacy that still reverberates today — through the story of a father trapped in a cycle of violence, guilt, and survival. This Blu-ray edition has been newly mastered from the original 35mm negative and includes a companion CD featuring the haunting original soundtrack by acclaimed composer Ludek Drizhal.
The Special Features include an audio commentary by director Francesco Lucente and cinematographer Carlo Varini; English and German trailers; interviews with actors Jamie Draven and Joe Morton; Joe Morton’s music video for “Devils Lonely Fire;” Grace Caroline Currey’s Audition; Electronic Press Kits about the cast, crew, and music; makeup VFX documentary; deleted scenes; and the soundtrack on compact disc.

There's some great looking cinematography in the trailer and I love the fact that this comes with the score on CD. I'd really like to see more releases offer that bonus.
