From the Troma press release:
Troma Entertainment, the longest-running independent movie studio in North America, proudly celebrates the Tromatic Special Edition releases of Frightmare on Blu-ray. For over a half a century, Troma has distributed cinematic masterpieces such as The Toxic Avenger, Def By Temptation, Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D., Class of Nuke 'Em High, Cannibal! The Musical and Tromeo and Juliet.
Legendary Hollywood horror icon Conrad Ragzoff (Ferdy Mayne, Conan the Destroyer) thrills a group of college kids with a preview of his latest scary movie. In the middle of the overwhelming adulation, Ragzoff collapses. He returns home and ends up dying after an altercation with his longtime director (Leon Askin, Hogan’s Heroes). Ragzoff wears his Dracula suit and cloak in the coffin at his funeral. After the memorial, a few of the film students (including Scott Thomson, Twister and Jeffrey Combs, Re-Animator) sneak into the mausoleum to snatch Ragzoff’s corpse for one last party. During the ghoulish festivities, Ragzoff’s coffin blows up, and the actor rises from the dead, eager to turn his fans into victims. The film students learn the hard way that it can be deadly to meet your idols.
The bonus features include the original DVD intro featuring Lloyd Kaufman and Debbie Rochon; an archival audio interview with director Norman Thaddeus Vane; historical commentary with David Del Valle and David DeCoteau; audio commentary from The Hysteria Continues podcast; the original theatrical trailer; an artwork gallery; Man With A Camera: a video interview with DP Joel King; A Gory Lesson From The Set Of Meat For Satan’s Ice Box; INNARDS! music video, and Radiation March.
