Looks like speculation is that the RS2200 / NZ700 loses the 8K input, which isn't really a big deal for the vast majority of us. But the size difference - whoa:

Pricing?

Which is which?
Old case for RS2100 on the left, new smaller RS2200 on the right.
Also, the RS1200 will get a laser too. No more bulbs.

Are these models made in the JVC Japan factory? Yes, they are made in the Japan Factory.
Is the 80mm lens all glass? No - correction.
Do these projectors do 3D? The do not support 3D.
-

Interesting. I still have a ton of 3D movies, but I can't recall the last time I actually broke out the glasses and watched one. It's definitely before I got the RS2100 a couple of years ago. I have 2 large sets of different 3D glasses sitting around b/c the previous JVC & screen combo had a different polarization. Spent way too much money on several 3D glasses for that!

I have one 3D movie ( Alita ) and no glasses.

Me too...biggest waste of money I've spent in my theater.

This post is more specific to the RS1200. The demo I viewed on a 165” was truly a show stopper. It was amazing seeing the faces on the others as they watched the performance. This is easily the best under 10K I have seen in some time. JVC has outdone themselves. The colors, black levels, motion and sharpness were all top shelf. It’s like they took a NZ8 and stuffed it inside the chassis. As impressive as the 4200 and Sony Bravia 9 looked throw is the real sleeper hit of the show!

A projector so nice, you posted twice! Thanks Joe.

I would. always choose 3d until 4k came out. Then I abandoned 3d

Below is the link to the new firmware update for the NZ500/1200 and NZ700/2200.
This firmware upgrade simplifies the user interface for pixel alignment and a few other minor glitches.
