Interesting development. One wonders if it will result in more or fewer titles showing up in the market. Maybe we'll see more of the older 20th Century Fox appear?

He also said that Sony will be taking over authoring and compression. Could that mean an improvement of their soundtracks?

I wouldn't count on it. Disney will be getting a significant cut of the action and Sony won't be doing this for free. I e been gone all week for work, so I have t reached out to my contact at Disney to see how this impacts him personally. I hope he still has a job after this.

I'm curious if your friend was able to give you any information that you would be able to share with us enthusiasts about this change. Completely understand if it's all confidential and there's nothing to share.

I haven't had a chance to speak with him. Way too busy with my day job :(
