Not sure if this is the best forum to put this in...
Netflix announced a big chunk of its catalog of TV shows & Movies will now be available in Spatial Audio (https://help.netflix.com/en/node/126405). For the majority of us this doesn't seem very important b/c it is only designed to enhance stereo audio and give it some surround effect with just 2 speakers, and typically smaller devices like laptops or phones. So this might be a nothing-burger. But it might be at least a sign pointing towards increased efforts to have quality audio be part of the streaming experience, and maybe that could eventually include lossless audio formats. Someday we'll get there I think.

I got the email yesterday and thought it wasn't a big deal as well. Like you, I can't wait for the day of lossless audio...when that happens, discs will probably go the way of 3D.
