Title: You can now sue for a misleading Coming Attraction
Post by: Barry on December 24, 2022, 06:13:12 PM
Variety is reporting on a lawsuit where a judge allowed a case to go forward regarding people being mislead by a coming attraction. Ana de Armas was featured in the coming attraction of ‘Yesterday”but was not in the movie.

This is good news. Studio's need to be held accountable.

If I saw a trailer and saw Ana de Armas in it, I would assume, she is in the film and that in itself would be the main reason for me to see the film and if after seeing the movie, realized, she was not in it, this is classic case of bait and switch. I paid to see her! :) Can't blame me.. see pic below.

Ho much $ in damages though? The cost of a rental or  a Blu-ray disc?

I think this should open the door for lawsuits against studios that make movies that don't live up to their trailers. ::)

At a minimum, they should refund the ticket price. :)
