" With 15 channels of amplification, our most powerful transformer, carefully selected parts, and hefty, high-rigidity construction, the AVR-A1H supports up to 9.4.6 configuration and delivers a professional theater experience in your home cinema. Designed and manufactured at Denon facilities in Japan. "
This beast looks like a good replacement for my current X8500H, and my Mini DSP HD.
Dirac Live Upgradability!

Don't really need BEQ - no complaints with LFE now for any movie. Just another complication.

Lmao. Sounds exactly like what you said about using a NAS

There's a decent summary of the new Denon lineup here: https://www.digitaltrends.com/home-theater/denon-2022-8k-avr-pricing-availability-specs/ (https://www.digitaltrends.com/home-theater/denon-2022-8k-avr-pricing-availability-specs/)
The next 2 models down in price in the X series also have Dirac Live, at a big step down in pricing. That could be significant for some. $6500 vs $2500 & $1700 (retail).

The A1H is now available for dealers to order. That tells me it's getting closer to shipping.

I forgot about this post Joe! The only real difference is the addition of 2 channels, for in my case 6 ceiling speakers as opposed to 4 ceiling speakers with the X8500. And, 4 independent subwoofer outs. I've made the difference larger by finally getting the Audyssey MultiEQ X computer app which is the best Audyssey implementation ever.
