We finished this one a couple of weeks ago and I forgot to put a post up about it. Unlike the Tom Cruise movies (which were fun in their own way), this is completely based on one of the books and it's somewhat of a slower burn versus the action-packed movies. Don't get me wrong, there are action sequences, but much deeper character development and the story is very fleshed out (even though it's a bit far-fetched). Regardless, the cast is excellent (especially the lead) and its worth your time:

We enjoyed this one a lot, and from what I understand Alan Ritchson is much closer to the book Reacher. We also saw him in Titans, which had some good moments but hit and miss.

I've read the same. His character is great too...not too politically correct, just like me :)

I loved the first jack reacher. The second one not so much.

I liked both films, although the first one was a bit better.

I liked them both for different reasons, but the series is way better than both films.
