That has got to be the highest density of speakers I've seen in a room. Wow!

Lot of speakers and a lot of channels. How is the experience? Obviously you have the dynamics. :)

That 4K Blu-ray looks a lot different - and better - on my 4K projector. That looks a bit blown out. Might be your camera recording it though.

My, Sooty passed away 10th November. I'm really sensitive about pets, Cats. I only have, Magic now.

I don't care about my home cinema anymore. I think dolby atmos is rubbish will all was be rubbish format with dtsxpro auro3d, I don;t care about my JBL professional cinema speakers anymore. I hardly now go in the home cinema as home cinema isn't life, its just garbage trash. A Pet is for life and I have dearly lost one. I know none here will care, so why should I bother. I hope dolby labs goes bust with all cinemas and hollywood movies goes bust, what a sad life, 4k home cinemas are. Get a Pet, love a Love a Pet, cos home theater cinemas don't give any love.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss.  :'(  You are wrong about people caring.  I love my cat.  she has been with me for 15 years and I know it will be very hard once she is gone.  My solace will be that I gave her a great home all those years.  You did the same for Sooty. :-*

Sorry for your loss, my pup is my baby. I bring him to the office everyday and basically everywhere I go. To steal a line from the show Letterkenny, when he goes they better dig a whole big enough for the two of us. Best wishes to you and Magic.

mostly the lucasfilm ltd THX sound system is doing the THX crossover for the five screen wide . behringer DCX 2496 oly serve in main sound processor rack as ( equal ABC PEQ , gain level ) or individual PEQ on the outputs on channels 2 4 and 6 or use the low pass filter to trim off lows when watching certain youtube videos that are non-Dolby THX , only Dolby THX approved movies here are fully unleashed in THX .

three great names in sound . SR-71 after sub bass burners , JBL and THX

overhead surround isn't new its been around since least i know 1969 gamount 1 bournemouth , cinerema 70mm that was phased out 1970 and 35mm installed . i heard star wars on national day , feb 1978 , yeah that star destroyer was overhead !

this was never public most may see speakers on side/back wall known as left/right halves .

when working at CIC/UCI cinemas 1989 first projectionist work ( now very much retired ) last worked for warner bros 1998 , very retired now .

picture is cinerama screen 1 x6 overhead flush last working mid 1998 , new JBL 8330 mkI x16 1999 for star wars 1 in SR-D .

UCI tower park used EV cinema pa in all screens . large screens 5 and ( 6 pictured ) smaller screens 1 to 4 7 to 10

dolby labs had with soundelux Todd-AO 2002 we where soldiers , Dolby SA10 would be used for so called one print made for one cinema , and no pictures video of it strange ? just some suppressed pdf that no longer can be found .

" sonic whole overhead sound " using clusters of speakers on the ceiling i seen the artist drawing of it .

hi-fi and linear vhs making comeback in Dolby Stereo at this THX cinema

the bass puts the 4k fake atmos to shame . the bass on the vhs was like thunder THX earthquake during the assault . thou bit compressed it still had ample dynamic range . compared to laserdisc that is pure Dolby Stereo 4.2.4 theatrical mix which is better than the 4k disc near field mix .

picture bit shabby on vhs but i would watch it again . 4k is hyped cash cow money grabber . i buy 4k discs at rate of 1% whole year now , it had its chance with greedy studios . i buy laserdisc at 50% per year , vhs sort of now and then if its Dolby Stereo 4.2.4 or mono mix

special overhead surround 1969/1989 duplicate mimic only at this THX cinema

i been wanting duplicate the overhead surround with past cinemas that now longer some exist closed or had the oiginal overhead surrounds removed late of 1999 at UCI tower park , odeon is now nice home for the pigeons . i like pigeons

no current processor not even storm audio trinnov (that's disappointing i thought trinnov32 can do it all ? ) be able to do it . one they simple don't have original Dolby sound formats . not even my Denon AVC-X8500H , i had to make extensive past modifications . hence using proper Dolby Stereo still modern day the original best

so unlike speaker switcher boxes i use common DB25 computer switcher with DB25 phoenix wiring so no soldering

take the basic heights 1 2 3 connect to switcher output and make up 1st main atmos cable and 2nd 3rd 4th for special overhead beyond switching

proper Dolby Stereo in this THX cinema via SA10 add on to the regular surrounds for correct surround arrays of the JBL x11 side/back wall with proper Dolby Stereo 4.2.4 signature ref sound that wows this THX cinema with proper hass effect via my CP200 CP500 CP750 even the Sony SDDS has 4.2.4 . Denon AVC-X8500H can not do this no avr avp today is capable with Dolby DSU its the wrong sound format to use for laserdisc Dolby Stereo it produces fake stereo surrounds and has some bad crosstalk and centre sounds whoohsy , and i thought Dolby labs listened ? maybe only to sound of £ cash now .

baby driver hidden atmos overhead easter eggs !

opening of movie with use of overhead surrounds only uses height 2 . there is no use of height 1 and 3 in this movie .
most of the overhead surround is heard on my customized overhead surrounds with below surround , using a x3 Dolby SA10 for height 1 2 3 .

most of the overhead is mono sounding that sounds from Dog 2 middle overhead surround for most of the movie running time with later on few slight stereo almost , with narrow pan to right or half Dog 2 with left half , if that makes any sense ?

chapter 13 bank robbery gone wrong then starts to later go into stereo sounding 4 channel overhead on height 2 . the signal for some of the music that " baby " listens to is panned steered towards what i call " extra channels " or extra 2 . that is somewhat unsurprising unexpected as . has " baby " runs on foot from the cops into a shopping centre the music continuing playing on extra 2 , with overhead shopping centre pa public announcement head on Dog 2 , with a few wide stereo width occasionally being used .

after chapter 13 , rest of the chapters go back to typical mono overhead or Dog 2 . on most any home cinema the home cinema listener will only hear mono phantom sound from their overhead surrounds . so don't expect too much from this movie .

star trek 6 the undiscovered country , now this does look like it has legitimate grain where most other 4k discs using fake digital grain for the greedy cash cow studios .  switched the 7.1 off played back with spit surrounds using proper surround left/right half as did at world famous CIC Empire Leicester Square on national opening day , feb 14th 1992 70mm six-track Dolby Stereo SR SS THX sound system , on my , now 40kw JBL THX , may upgrade to 150kw ? nah , 40kw is enough

50,000KHz ? only dogs cats and pet bat can hear that and need sound REW configured on pc to sine wave that output and amplifier able as well otherwise pointless music movie mixes do not go that high

I didn’t know cats were required for home theatre. Fortunately, I have enough for stereo. It’s having them on the ceiling for Atmos that’s a dilemma. Of course, having cats, I started the system from scratch.

So is there a minimum requirement of one cat per channel?

Man, I'm in trouble. The only cat that I have is an orange and white, neighborhood tabby and I have 8 channels.

yeah , cats

oh , what else professional in the professional lucasfilm ltd THX sound system to no day

i saw " earthquake " at abc 1 bournemouth , uk 70mm six-track sensurround 4 times feb 1975 and several more over the many months it played , opened , uk nov 1974 . first heard it during intermission of " the towering inferno " heard this distant rumble from above looking overhead at the ceiling , what is that ? oh , i saw poster outside for screen 1 , " earthquake " and large words sensurround ? wow , i have to check this out .

79p for big sound sort of like THX only professional THX sound system is way better sort of extension or raising the bar with THX . sensurround easily better than most substandard Dolby atmos cinemas today at £16 local to £50 at london and no THX at odeon leicester square .
its technically difficult to recreate it at home in small room with smaller speakers of today . the CV cerwin vega sub bass bins was very large they had to be built inside the auditorium as they wouldn't fit though exit door like some cinema pa speakers today .
attempts have been achieved with JBL professional and lots of JBL subs , lots of them ! screenings have been done at , cinerama 70 bradford uk , and often at germany where lots of JBL subs have been used , i mean lots !
the sensurround generator mod II and mod III are often used some remade from plans , many do still rarely exist , Dolby labs has one and many private . building one is tricky as , cinerama brandford found it the chips got so hot and other ways was figured out .

when thinking about it sounds like filtered pink noise that has forward backward motion that , is so alarming scary when " the big one " hits , cinema patron on the chest the body , harder than most regular atmos cinemas today . the only other hardest is Dolby and JBL and THX together , not even imax comes near . i feel little with all the imax 70mm i seen once bournemouth and it was meh given the high ticket prices and earthquake was 79p . today cinemas have greedy ticket prices and sound that is just too loud in MF/HF horns i have to wear earplugs for whole time .

if " earthquake " was remixed it would have to have discrete channels of at least
behind projection screen
five upper L Lc C Rc R
five middle L Lc C Rc R
five below L Lc C Rc R

sidewalls
surround upper arrays left/right
surround middle arrays left/right
surround below arrays left/right

back wall
surround upper arrays left/right
surround middle arrays left/right
surround below arrays left/right

below surround arrays
near corners to the sidewall/back wall of arrays
most of the whole floor arrays
special bass shakers in the flooring

now there is no way it can do the same thing . seismic earthquakes happen miles underneath the ground ranging from 0.01Hz to 10Hz and can conflict depending magnitude and time duration , unimaginable damage . kinder like ocean waves rock boat , same thing . can't do that to floors they'll get damaged .
and lastly overhead arrays

what i see in the movie with objects falling from ceiling and landing on the floor as certain sounds should be heard from above then silence on that sound for fraction few second until it lands on the floor and sounds ! there would be a wave of air if large piace of ceiling came down it would push air downwards and you'd fill a wave of air .
sound mixing is complex if it had proper amount of channels for mixing encoding decoding at cinemas or home cinema with the same thing , no near field mixes ! theatrical mixes only !

i think i can add ^ the above to this THX cinema

stormaudio elite mkIII 32 , i can get these modified for possible 88 channels

+4dB output cinematic on the JBL THX sound system

JBL 4673A five screen wide L Lc C Rc R discrete for " gravity " is still a mix that has yet to be surpassed

five screen matrix is handled very well compared with x2 Dolby SDU4 i also use . was surprised at how exceptional well stormaudio with dts neural x , i select for five screen matrix , fills in the inner channels with extra screen bass .

i have to see if it can do baby boom for star wars ? thou i can easily do that with multi behringer DCX 2496 by simply switching Lc Rc with LFE.1 signals in just few seconds , i can have star wars in proper Dolby Stereo 4.2.4 or use the '97 AC-3 laserdisc and divert LFE to Lc Rc , just for experimental use or switch to any of the other JBL subs

tested , ice station zebra , five screen wide , wow

i have my experimental overhead surround rewired back up this week ? as when installing the stromaudio elite mkIII 32 , i spent non-stop 24hrs installing it and it totally knackered me , in bed for 2 days , its a complex processor
