There goes the hometheater business. Bet it gets pretty hot and stuffy in that box for a couple hours. :)

Watching movies with VR glasses is something I can't stand the thought of for many reasons. One big reason is that movie watching is an inherently social thing to me. There is an intangible energy shared among an audience watching a good movie together. Imagining a future where people go to the movies or get together at home to watch a film, only to strap on a pair of VR headsets and disappear into their own world, really removes all of the magic of cinema entirely.

Luckily I doubt that's ever going to be reality. HT and regular cinemas will continue much like they are now. :)

My first "home theater" experience when I was about 7 or 8 years old.  You could actually project onto the wall with it.  I don't remember what the contrast was like.  ;D
