Title: Red and blue grid alignment is way off 'Sony 4k Projector'

I purchased a used Sony VLP-VW365ES from an auction house with the view that it may or may not work, so it was no surprise when I powered it up to find it was projecting colors all over the place. It was a pleasant surprise however to see it had only used 271 lamp hours.
Can anyone suggest what I can do to fix this issue myself - even if it means taking it apart. I have tried the R and B 'Panel shift alignment' but I think this is for fine adjustment only as it did nothing. I'm guessing I will need to send to a specialist but hope someone could guide me through a self fix.

Ya, that looks way out of convergence. Maybe an advanced tinkerer will chime in.

An advanced tinkerer sounds great..I'm more of a tinkerer and wreck it kind of guy so I hope someone chirps up soon::)

Looks like the red panel is shifted way over to one side. Will need to open up and see if you can get that panel back in place.

Hey thanks, just needed a push to delve in! The blue is even more out of sync. So should there be 2 fixed slots for blue and red lens to fit in?

I do not know if the panels are in a slot or just glued in place.

When dealing with warranty repairs we send projectors to Mendtronix, I would imagine this unit is out of warranty but if you have any questions you cant get an answer for, they may be able to offer some assistance.
