There are a couple of little used screens within the system that give you a lot of interesting tid bits of insight into what triggers response from the web users... the Who's Online screen and the Board statistics screens, I find myself spending quite a lot of time in the who's online just watching what the users are doing in real time, all you have to do is refresh the screen every couple of minutes and it is updated with current info... the reason I say "little used" is because access to these screens is sort of only obscurely available in the menu system, but I have a remedy for that situation if @HomeTheaterGuy wants me to do it I can manipulate the menu system to display a drop down menu in the main menu that have buttons that take the user directly to either one of those two screens, its a custom hack that enables everyone to find those two much easier.
Currently you'll only find links to these screens at the bottom of the Forum page and in the portal Home page on the side blocks...

Another new feature that the search engines respond well to is the @ symbol mentions module, all you have to do is type in the @ symbol in the editor and immediately follow that with the first three characters of the username you are attempting to "mention" and if there are any matches to those three characters in the member database, it will pop you a list of the names and you can just click the one you want or revise your search characters to find the right user...
Like this:
@AVSCraig
@AVSMike
@AVSLaurie
@AVSJason
The system will pick that up and notify the recipient automatically...
Have fun with it it functions quite well...
