Sony has announced the XBR-A1E Series BRAVIA 4K OLED TVs to be released later this year. They'll be available in 55, 65, and 77" screen sizes.
The new sets will have the 4K HDR Processor X1 Extreme used in the company’s top of the line Z9D TVs.
The sets also feature an unusual new Acoustic Surface technology, which uses the screen to produce sound, so there's no need for side or bottom-mounted speakers.
Prices weren't announced.

Interesting. That new Acoustic Surface tech will lead to yet another debate on the long term stability of this new tv. Not sure I would want to be among the first to buy one -- no, I'm sure of it. And the cost could be another interesting item
All in all, I wonder who that technology is aimed at. Certainly not the HT enthusiast -- or maybe the thought is that the OLED will drive sales and the HT guys won't be listening to the TV anyway... ;D
