Studio: Disney
Release Date: June 25, 2019
Rating: G
Film: 4/5

Plot
Cinderella has faith her dreams will come true. With help from her loyal mice friends and a wave of her Fairy Godmother's wand, Cinderella's rags are magically transformed into a glorious gown and off she goes to the Royal Ball. But when the clock strikes midnight, the spell is broken, leaving only a single glass slipper…the only key to the ultimate fairy-tale ending.

My Thoughts
Years ago, my daughter was doing a school project on Walt Disney and up until that time I didn't realize that Cinderella was the movie that saved the studio from insolvency. The story follows the basic premise of the fairy-tale, the addition of the mice and engaging musical score put this one squarely in the realm of a classic.

This isn’t the first time the film has been released on Blu-ray and it comes from the studio as an “Anniversary Edition” of the classic film. This is the same video encode as the past Diamond Series release and it looks fantastic in 1080p. The audio is also the same with a vintage DTS-MA 1.0 track along with an enhanced DTS-MA 7.1 soundtrack as well. Granted, the majority of the sound on the enhanced track comes from the center speaker but the occasional bleed to the other channels is much better than the 1.0 mix.

Conclusion
If you have young kids (or grandkids), this is a great movie to have in your collection. It will allow the kids to dream, laugh, and be entertained for 75 minutes—and it's quite entertaining for the adults as well. Highly recommended.
