I was wondering how much of a difference in picture different screens actually make in picture quality not just different gain but especially just more expensive screens in general over budget screens. I have a 106" electric 16:9 screen i got from amazon from company called grand screens i had never heard them and at time was only like 3 reviews and it seems ok to me and has no wrinkles at all which is probably rare especially at price i paid but im wondering if im missing out on potential picture quality of my jvc rs440 vs a better screen. only problem is i dont have 1500$ to drop on a nice screen so i dont know if any screens will be enough of an upgrade without paying 4 times what i originally did. if it was a fixed screen it would be a easier situation. i also have seen many complaints on wrinkles or waves in even electric tensioned screens.

The better electric screens do stay perfectly tensioned and have better uniformity. Whether it's worth it to you is another question. I have found my Stewart screens to be outstanding.
