Title: Brawl In Cell Block 99 4K UHD

Sound - 8/10
Movie - 8.5/10

I had this for a while, but just got around to watching it last night. Wow - Vince Vaughn really does a great job in this very violent crime drama. Almost has a B movie throw back feel. I was most curious about the 4K Blu-ray disc without HDR. It's Rec. 709. Guess what ? It looked outstanding. I'll try and get screen shots soon. Recommended for lovers of moody crime dramas, or if you want to see Vince Vaughn really beat some ass big time.

Post by: DavidHir on March 03, 2018, 02:19:45 PM: Agreed, it's really a modern day Grindhouse movie. I was over at the Blu-ray site and I was surprised by how many people missed that aspect of it. I really enjoyed it and the PQ was truly outstanding and very sharp.

I'm pretty sure it was supposed to have a contrasty look - it's sort of a grindhouse B movie type experience. Personally I loved it - stark and hard core !

It was better the 2nd time - definitely a " grindhouse " / Tarantino type feel to the movie !

I've got a bunch of friends that haven't seen this, so it's just a matter of time until I screen it again too !
