Sony 665es owners who have upgraded to the 675es

Sony 665es owners who have upgraded to the 675es
« on: May 22, 2017, 08:26:10 PM »
Hey folks,

Is it worth the upgrade? how much of an improvement is there in the real world between the two?
I have seen the specs of the two and a lot of talk about the 60p at 10 bit and some talk about panel derogation.

we have an old 40es 1080p right now and absolutely love it, esp the 3d on it. and I am really wanting to go full 4k.

and before the JVC folks chime in, I have seen it and it is great, but the picture just does not compare for me (IMO)

thanks!

If I had a 665, I probably would not spend the money to upgrade to a 675. Now if I had a 40ES and was considering a 665 or a 675, I would go for the 675, if for no other reason than the added protection level for the panels. If you are in the US and would like to discuss projectors and/or pricing, give us a call.

We are looking at a demo 665es with a new bulb at a pretty good price, it will have 3 year warranty too.
I have seen some used 675es for $8500-$10k and who knows about the warranty.

I am mainly concerned with the quality, is the bandwidth limitations really make a huge difference?

I have had my 40es for 2 years or so with no noticeable derogation and I have ready about the 665es how it is hit and miss with the issue, but if we get a 3 year factory with it I am ok with that.
